The English Red Telephone Box

The red telephone box, the public telephone kiosk designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott in the 1920s is an icon of Great Britain, like the London taxi and the double-decker bus. I adore all things British and was sad to see the red phone box largely disappear from the English landscape. I recently discovered this amazingly chic way to recycle these boxes that can be found in salvage yards all over England. They are being restored and used as entrances, indoor and outdoor showers, bars, greenhouses, and garden sheds. I think the examples below are wonderful and utterly charming. I wonder if anyone has thought of jumping the pond with these?
